Perfect Concrete Care just completed a concrete floor grinding project at Leonards street in North Sydney for Enigma HD. This involved grinding the floor down to expose the aggregate grade that the client was looking for.
- Concrete Grinding of the floor for a new unit of offices
- Creating an industrial look for the edging
The concrete grinding Challenges
Techniques Used:
Our team members set up our HTC 650E Classic grinde. It is paired with our Tyrolit VCE 4000D Dust Extractor to ensure that dust creation was kept to a minimum.
After we established all our equipment on-site we did a sample concrete floor grinding with our smaller Tyrolit FGE270 Grinder. It was to establish the exact aggregate grade that the client was looking for.
We then set up our big HTC 650E Classic Grinder and installed new grinding shoes. Also, we paired it with our Tyrolit VCE 4000D Dust Extractor to ensure dust was kept to an absolute minimum.
To ensure we got a clean and smooth finish we pre-wet the concrete. This ensures that we kept the diamond shoes cool and gives a smoother finish to the concrete aggregate.
For this project, the client was actually looking for a more industrial unpolished look along the walls so we didn’t grind fully down along the edges to give it more of an industrial feel.
The Result:
We completed concrete floor grinding on time, and on budget, and the client was happy with the outcome of the project.
