Concrete Coring Marrickville – Perfect Concrete Care
The Challenges
Concrete Coring carried out in Arthur St, Marrickville
Outline:
The coring of walls, ceilings, floors, and balconies to allow for plumbing and installing electrical services.
Techniques Used:
- Core Ceilings, Floors, Walls, and Balconies to allow for service installation.
- Various diameters and depths range from 62mm – 182mm wide to 40mm – 300mm in depth.
- Core Balcony floors to allow for downpipes installation.
- Core basement wall to allow for plumbing services installation.
Before we began concrete coring, our team members consulted with the site manager and project manager to locate exactly where to make each core whole. The site manager then went around and sprayed all areas, where cores are to be installed and marked which diameter to make the core.
Next, our team member unloaded the van and began establishment at the first coring site. Electricity was running with extension leads suspended on cable hangers. Water supply was not needed as our team member was using our Makinex Water Pump Tank. This holds up to 40L of water and gives our core drill a steady supply of water. This saves the time involved in running a water supply to each core site.
Our team member uses our Makita Cordless Combi – Hammer Drill to drill the wall and install the dyna bolt so we can secure the stand for our Tyrolit Core Drill. This stand ensures an accurate core hole and makes applying pressure to the drill as it is coring easier for our operator.
First of all, our stand is installed and in place. Then, our team member mounted the Tyrolit Core Drill to the stand and installed the 182mm core barrel. Once our team member was happy with the setup, then they attached our Makinex Water Tank to the Core Drill. This keeps the diamonds cool during the coring process to ensure they do not overheat and allows for a cleaner more efficient core.
The Result:
We completed all core holes on time and on schedule. So, the client was happy with the outcome of the work carried out.
