Perfect Concrete Care was engaged to complete concrete works within the Toys “R” Us store in Westfield Chatswood.
The challenges
The initial phase of the project involved stripping out all internal fixtures within the 1,500 m2 shop. It required a waste management plan. It included truck and skip bin scheduling and removal of all waste to EPA-approved waste recovery centres.
Perfect Concrete Care carried out work, involving concrete cutting. It also cored out penetrations in existing concrete fixtures and undertook detailed demolition works.
Final stage
The final stage of the works involved floor preparation of the complete 1,500 m2 shop area, using a bobcat fitted with a specially designed scraping attachment to remove all existing tiles. Perfect Concrete Care then used a large commercial concrete floor grinder to grind the concrete and to remove any residue leftover after removing the tiles to prepare the concrete floor for finishing. They all eased Concrete Cutting and Coring and caused the best results.
