Work With Us

We are hiring across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. Perfect Group runs demolition, civil, remediation, concrete and labour hire work on some of the biggest projects in the country, so there is a steady run of work for people who turn up and do the job properly.

Hiring now in Sydney and Brisbane

Open positions at Perfect Concrete Care. Engineers, technicians, patchers, cutters, drillers and scanners. Click a role for the full description and the form. Demolition and civil roles are with Perfect Contracting, further down this page.

Perfect Concrete Care is growing faster than we can staff it. These are the roles we need filled first, in Sydney and Brisbane. If one is you, fill in the form and we will ring you within one business day.

A remedial engineer who can price jobs and run them. Not a desk role. We want an engineer who can walk a car park, a wharf, a warehouse slab or a post tensioned floor with the client, work out what is actually wrong, write the methodology, put a price on it that holds, then run the crew until the engineer signs it off. The work is carbon fibre strengthening (CFRP and FRP), slab truncation and tendon truncation on post tensioned slabs, slab repairs and structural patch repairs, crack injection, spalling and concrete cancer repair, coping beam and pile head modifications, and the scanning and cutting that goes before all of it. People call this job different things: concrete remediation engineer, concrete remedial engineer, concrete repair engineer, structural repair engineer, remedial project engineer, building remediation engineer, concrete refurbishment engineer, strengthening engineer. We have four pages because the emphasis differs, but one good engineer could fill any of them: Remedial Engineer, Project Engineer, concrete remediation, Structural Engineer, concrete repair and Concrete Refurbishment Engineer. Pay runs from Pay depends on experience depending on which end of that list you sit and what you have run before.

Concrete care technicians and patchers. The hands that do the repair: concrete repair technicians, concrete patchers and patching hands, remedial technicians, remedial labourers, spall repair and concrete cancer repairers, epoxy and crack injection technicians, carbon fibre installers, render and patch finishers, concrete restoration workers. If you have patched a car park soffit overhead, injected a crack that stayed sealed, prepared a substrate for carbon fibre, or rendered a repair so it disappeared, you are who we want. Experienced people go straight onto the tools; keen people with a White Card and a construction background get trained. See the Concrete Repair Technician job, the skilled concrete care worker and renderer job, and the Carbon Fibre Strengthening job.

Concrete cutters, saw operators, core drillers, GPR scanning technicians, grinders and offsiders are listed below. Travel work pays more and there is interstate work for people who want it.

Fill in the form below and someone will ring you back within one business day. It takes about two minutes. The more you tell us about your tickets and your site inductions, the faster we can put you on a job.

Roles we are hiring for right now

If one of these is your trade, go straight to that page. It tells you what the role actually involves and what tickets we are after. The form is the same one, so you only fill it in once.

    What we are looking for

We take on people at every level, from someone with a fresh White Card through to a construction manager who has run fifty million dollars of work. These are the areas we recruit into.

    • General labouring and site work. Demolition labourers, cleaners, spotters and offsiders on commercial and civil sites.
    • Ticketed operators and trades. Excavator, posi-track, forklift, telehandler, EWP and crane operators, riggers and dogmen, boilermakers, welders, formwork carpenters, steel fixers and electricians.
    • Concrete work. Road sawing, wall sawing, wire sawing, core drilling, grinding and polishing, patching, concrete repairs and GPR scanning.
    • Remediation, steel and coatings. Concrete remediation, structural steel repairs, abrasive blasting, industrial coatings, waterproofing, carbon fibre strengthening and heritage restoration.
    • Demolition, strip out and hazmat. Soft strip, structural and high reach demolition, asbestos removal both bonded and friable, plant decommissioning and site remediation.
    • Supervision, engineering and management. Leading hands, site supervisors, foremen, project engineers, project managers, construction managers, contracts administrators and WHS advisors.
    • Office, estimating and admin. Estimators, contracts administrators, accounts, payroll, scheduling and compliance.

    Tickets and site inductions matter

Most of our work is on Tier 1 sites, and those sites will not let anyone through the gate without the right paperwork. If you already hold a White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space, an asbestos removal ticket or a machine licence, say so on the form. If you are already inducted for Sydney Metro, Sydney Trains, Sydney Water or the Western Harbour Tunnel, that puts you near the front of the queue, because we can have you working in days rather than weeks.

If you do not have tickets yet, still apply. We put people through training when the work justifies it, and there is general labouring you can start on while you get carded up.

    Work rights

You need the right to work in Australia. We do not sponsor visas. If you are here on a visa that lets you work, that is fine, just tell us the subclass and any hour limits on the form so we put you on the right job. We do not charge anyone a fee to apply or to be placed, ever. If someone asks you for money to get a job with us, it is not us.

    References

Give us at least one reference on the form. It can be a work reference or a character reference, so a previous supervisor, a leading hand, or someone who has known you a while and will vouch for you. Three is ideal and gives us the fullest picture, but one is enough to get the conversation started.

    What happens after you apply

    • You get an email straight away confirming we have your application.
    • Someone rings you within one business day, on the mobile number you give us.
    • If you did not attach a CV, reply to that confirmation email with it. It is the fastest way to get in front of us.
    • We keep your details on file. Even if there is nothing today, we come back to people when the right job lands, which is often a few weeks later.

    Where we work

Our head office is in Marrickville in Sydney and we run a Queensland base at Slacks Creek. We have crews on projects across greater Sydney, the Hunter, Wollongong, Canberra, South East Queensland and up through Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. We are building our Western Australia crew now, including mining demolition and shutdown work, so if you are in Perth or fly out from Perth, apply and pick Western Australia on the form.

Some jobs need people who will travel or work away from home. If that suits you, say so on the form, because those roles are usually the better paid ones and there are fewer people putting their hand up.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flagsPerfect Concrete Care acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Traditional Custodians of the country on which we live and work. We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians and Elders past, present and future, and honour their connection to the land and ongoing contribution to society.
