The key challenges included the short timeframe, changes in scope of work and working around other traders. The Perfect Concrete Care team confidently addressed these challenges by efficiently planning and working around the clock and, being flexible towards the client's needs. Our crew worked closely with the client to understand the changes and how to act on them.
Perfect Concrete Care team started off by grinding the floor to expose the aggregate. The first step in the concrete polishing process was to grind the existing floor to expose the underlying aggregate. This process required expertise and precision to achieve the desired level of aggregate exposure, as it directly impacts the final appearance of the polished surface. By uncovering the aggregate, a unique and textured appearance was achieved, enhancing the overall visual appeal.
Then they moved on to smoothing the surface. Once the aggregate was exposed, the surface underwent a meticulous smoothing process. This involved the use of advanced tools and techniques to eliminate imperfections, creating a seamless and level surface. The smoothness not only contributes to the elegance of the polished floor but also ensures a safer and more comfortable walking surface.
Finally, the process was completed by applying two coats of high-quality sealer to enhance the durability as well as protect the polished concrete floor. The sealer acts as a shield against stains, moisture, and wear, ensuring the floor retains its beauty and integrity for years to come. Moreover, the sealer enhances the reflective properties of the floor, adding a subtle sheen that elevates the overall aesthetic appeal of the space.
The Merits of Concrete Polishing
Aesthetic Appeal: One of the primary reasons Infinity Constructions chose concrete polishing is its ability to transform a mundane concrete surface into a stunning work of art. The exposed aggregate, combined with the smooth and glossy finish, creates a sophisticated and modern look, making a powerful statement about the company's commitment to excellence.
Durability and Longevity: Concrete polishing provides a highly durable flooring solution, capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic, abrasions, and impact. The application of the sealer further reinforces the floor's resistance to stains and wear, ensuring the head office maintains its pristine appearance for years without the need for frequent maintenance or replacement.
Cost-Effectiveness and Eco-Friendliness: Concrete polishing is a cost-effective alternative compared to other flooring options like hardwood or high-end tiles. Additionally, the process minimises the need for additional materials, reducing waste and making it an eco-friendly choice.
