The Polishing and Sealing Challenges
The time frame to complete this Polishing and sealing project was extremely tight. With having other sub-trades booked in to complete glazing, partitions, and carpentry works. Perfect Concrete Care had to implement a game plan to complete the 325m2 floor plate within one weekend.
All material and tools were delivered to the site on Friday afternoon. They were ready for work to begin first thing Saturday morning. Putting zip walls and dust control systems into place helped to reduce the amount of dust. They were also for entering the base building mechanical system and lifts.
Perfect Concrete Care removed a staggering amount of existing floor protection totaling an amount of 63 bags of dust (30KGS each). It also carried out rubbish removal on Sunday morning. It was with the help of a basic builder clean to keep the grinding crew moving forward with the final cut of the concrete polishing and sealing process.
Perfect Concrete Care was on the home stretch by Sunday lunchtime with only the final poly vac then applying the sealer. Perfect Concrete Care engaged a professional cleaning company. It wanted to carry out a white glove clean before applying the final sealer to reduce the risk of contaminating the final product. While on-site the cleaners completed the cleaning of the male and female bathrooms, common areas, and perimeter windows.
The Result:
325m2 completed in one weekend with the existing office surfaces left clean and tidy and still maintaining the construction program to accommodate the sub-trades.
