Delivering Complex Modifications with Precision
Perfect Concrete Care was recently engaged by Acciona to deliver a high-impact structural modification project at the Western Harbour Tunnel site in Lilyfield. This technically challenging scope required a multi-skilled approach and precise sequencing to meet both structural and program requirements.
Our brief included creating multiple penetrations in a concrete block wall, some of which were oversized to accommodate significant building modifications. Each penetration demanded careful planning, safe execution, and minimal disruption to adjacent areas of the site.
Floor Scabbling Powered by Brokk
Once structural openings were complete, our team tackled over 200m² of concrete floor scabbling. To accelerate the process and reduce manual handling, we deployed a Brokk robotic demolition machine, enabling faster removal with increased safety and productivity.
Project Timeline
- Weeks 1–2: Completion of all wall penetrations
- Week 3: Robotic scabbling of the concrete floor surface
This schedule allowed us to separate high-risk activities, streamline delivery, and maintain compliance with site safety protocols.
