Specialist Sawing, Wire Sawing and Deep Coring
The cutting work that ordinary saws cannot touch: metre-thick sections, heavily reinforced structure, large diameter and deep cores, live plants and rail corridors.
- ✓Wire sawing for sections too thick for any blade
- ✓Large diameter and deep coring, drilled straight
- ✓Wall and track sawing for major openings
- ✓Rail, bridge and shutdown experience
- ✓Scanned and engineered before anything is cut

When the job is past what a standard saw can do
Most cutting outfits top out where the interesting work begins. Once the section passes about 700mm, or the reinforcement gets heavy, or the piece being removed weighs tonnes and has to come out in a controlled sequence, the job changes from cutting to engineering.
That is the work we set up for. Diamond wire that will pass through any thickness, rigs for deep and large diameter coring, and the planning that goes with structure: scan first, understand the load path, agree the lift and removal sequence before the first cut.
Wire sawing
A diamond wire loop cuts what no blade can: bridge beams, machine bases, thick walls, pier heads and mass concrete. Cuts can run underwater, flush to a face, or in places a saw cannot physically sit.
- Bridge and infrastructure modifications
- Machine and plant bases in operating facilities
- Mass concrete and heavily reinforced sections
- Flush cutting where a blade cannot reach
Deep and large diameter coring
Cores from 20mm up to very large diameters, and depths well beyond standard rig capacity, drilled straight because at depth a lazy setup wanders and ruins the hole. Stitch coring creates openings where sawing is not possible.
Wall and track sawing at scale
Door, window and services openings in structural walls, lift shafts and stair voids, cut with track mounted saws and removed in engineered pieces. On post tensioned structure the scan and the engineer sign off happen before the saw arrives, not after something lets go.
Shutdowns, rail and live environments
Fixed windows are our normal setting: rail possessions, plant shutdowns, night works in trading centres. The method statement, the crew redundancy and the backup gear are planned so the window holds.
To price it fast: Section thickness, reinforcement if known, access, and whether the structure is post tensioned. Those four decide the method and most of the cost.
Where we work
Crews based in Sydney and Brisbane, and we travel nationally for planned programs: shopping centres, distribution centres, plants and infrastructure. Tell us where the floor or the structure is and we will be straight about mobilisation.
Questions we get asked
How thick can you cut?
With wire, effectively unlimited. The practical questions are access, water management and how the cut piece comes out, which is what the site visit answers.
Do you scan before cutting?
Always on suspended or post tensioned structure. Hitting a tendon is a structural event, not a repair.
Can you cut in a live plant or rail corridor?
Yes, that is a large share of this work. We hold the inductions and plan around possessions and shutdown windows.
How do the cut pieces come out?
Engineered lifts. The rigging and crane plan is part of the methodology, and pieces are sized to what the crane and the floor can take.
Is this overkill for a simple opening?
Probably, and we will say so. Standard wall sawing is cheaper where it fits, and we do both, so the recommendation is honest.
Got a cut that scares the usual crowd?
Send the drawings or photos with the thickness. We will come back with method and price.
