Our team members recently completed possession weekend work for our client Laing O’Rourke as part of the Sydney metro upgrades. Throughout the weekend our team members successfully carried out 700 cores for our client.
Techniques Used:
The scope of work for this project was to complete over 700 cores 200mm deep for our client. So they could install new ballasts and sleepers as part of the Sydney metro upgrades.
For this project, we supplied our client with all the equipment and personnel to carry out the work. In total we had 12 team members working 12hr shifts. We carried out the 700 cores in three shifts from Saturday morning until Sunday night.
Also, we supplied our client with twelve Weka DK16 Hand Core Drills and all the Tyrolit Diamond Core Barrels needed for the project. We also supplied portable generators and water supply to keep the diamonds on the core barrels cool.
As this was a possession weekend on the Rail Network, all our team members required Rail Industry Worker cards, and all information was updated on Pegasus prior to us commencing the works.
The Result:
Our client was happy with the work carried out and the professionalism of our team members working on the project.
