Project Overview
Perfect Concrete Care has been engaged by Buildcorp to deliver a detailed waterproof membrane removal project in a tight-access pump room at Martin Place. The works cover more than 300 square metres of flooring, with the objective of fully removing the existing waterproofing membrane and preparing the substrate for a new system to be installed.
Methodology
Given the confined nature of the site, our team deployed a combination of:
- Small floor grinders for open floor areas
- Hand grinders for edges, corners, and difficult-to-reach sections
- All grinders connected to industrial-grade vacuums to ensure continuous dust control and maintain a clean, safe working environment
This method allows us to achieve complete membrane removal while minimising disruption, maintaining air quality, and ensuring the surface is perfectly prepped for the upcoming waterproofing works.
Safety & Quality Focus
Throughout the project, we’ve prioritised:
- Dust suppression and control to eliminate airborne particles
- Clean site management to protect surrounding assets and working conditions
- Attention to detail in every corner of the space, ensuring full removal and a consistent substrate finish
Project Status
The works are scheduled for a two-week program, and Stage 1 has already delivered strong results with large areas of membrane successfully removed. Once completed, the area will be ready for the new waterproofing installation, supporting Buildcorp in delivering a durable and compliant outcome for the site.
