When our long standing client Infinity Construction began development of their new project in Mascot, they knew they wanted to carry out Grind & Seal finish on multiple levels of this commercial property. So they engaged Perfect Concrete Care to carry out a large 6 level grind and seal project. The scope for this project is to carry out a detailed grind and seal of six levels of the ten storey building.
Our team established on site with our fleet of HTC Duratiq remote grinders and Dust Extractors. Our large remote grinders can grind much more concrete than standard push grinders with no risk to our Operators. Having the operators free means they can change the bags out on the dust extractors while the machine is still grinding which increases productivity.
To ensure the highest quality finish, our team began by conducting a thorough inspection of the concrete surface on each level to identify any areas that required special attention. We then began the grinding process using a series of diamond-impregnated metal bond tooling. This process removes any surface contaminants and creates a smooth, uniform finish.
One of the key challenges of this project was working on multiple levels of a high-rise building. To overcome this, we used our fleet of remote grinders, which allows our team to work at a safe distance from the grinding equipment while still maintaining full control. Additionally, we have implemented strict safety protocols and equipment, including perimeter warning systems, to ensure the safety of our team members and others on the site.
After completing the grinding process, we are now in the process of applying a sealer to the concrete surface. Our team is using a high-quality, commercial grade sealer that will provide long-lasting protection against moisture, stains, and other environmental factors. We are applying the sealer using a combination of sprayers and rollers to ensure even coverage and a consistent finish.
Throughout the project, we have worked closely with our client, Infinity Constructions, to ensure that all project milestones are met on time and within budget. Our team has also provided regular progress reports to keep the client informed of the project’s status and any potential issues that may arise.
As with all of our projects, we prioritise safety and quality above all else. We have implemented rigorous safety protocols to ensure the safety of our team members, as well as anyone else who may be on the job site.
