High-Risk Weekend Works Delivered on Time
Perfect Concrete Care recently completed a complex structural cutting package at East Hills Station in partnership with Arenco, as part of rail shutdown operations. The project demanded high accuracy, advanced planning, and strict compliance, given the proximity to public infrastructure and limited working windows.
Scope of Works
The job involved:
- Cutting through two reinforced concrete walls near the station’s lift access
- Managing and removing elevated balustrades, positioned above commuter walkways
- Executing all works over a weekend shutdown, with zero margin for delays
Safety-First Execution
Given the operational environment, our team upheld the highest safety and procedural standards:
- All operators were clean-shaven, fit-tested, and equipped with certified PPE
- Strict site controls were in place throughout the cutting and removal process
- Full equipment cleaning and site restoration was completed before Monday morning’s station reopening
This high-pressure job was delivered without disruption to the public, supporting Arenco’s infrastructure program and maintaining continuity for commuter services.
Outcome
- On-time delivery under tight rail access window
- No safety incidents or procedural non-compliance
- Clean, commuter-safe environment reinstated before station reopening
This project showcases our ability to execute precision concrete cutting in high-risk, time-sensitive public infrastructure settings.
